Creating your schedule for camp can feel like the most challenging part of planning a local camp experience … that's why we’ve included several examples for you! You can look at various 3 day, 4 day or 5 day examples as well as a weekend experience with overnights. These can serve as a framework for you so that you can copy them exactly or just make minor adjustments based upon your location or what’s available to you.
You may want to look through all of them, even if you know the length of time that you’ll be doing. You may see things that you want to pull from another schedule or the matrix that goes with it. That way, you can easily adjust your time frame with great ideas from other areas.
As you work through your schedule, think about travel times (if need be), programmatic elements, all camp activities, meals, snacks and of course club and cabin time! You can also work in some free time or downtime, as these elements happen at camp and are always a sweet time with our friends. Consider having some options for everyone to engage in during those down times like card games, board games, art supplies and nail painting supplies.
Have fun and dream big for your friends!
